Mike Miller

Mike is a seasoned insurance executive with a proven track record of successfully launching and growing multi-billion-dollar insurance businesses, specializing in Property & Casualty (P&C) and Excess & Surplus (E&S) insurers writing on a non-admitted basis.

With over 30 years at Nationwide in various executive roles, including President, COO, and CFO, Mike has demonstrated his ability to drive growth, implement strategic initiatives, and lead innovation in the insurance industry.

As the Founder and CEO of Ategrity Specialty Holdings LLC, Mike led a team of industry veterans to launch Ategrity Specialty Insurance Company and Sequentis Reinsurance Company Ltd. in 2018. Under his leadership, Ategrity became a significant player in the E&S market before his departure in 2022.

Prior to founding Ategrity, Mike served as President of Nationwide Ventures, where he started an operation focused on investing in early-stage startups innovating within the insurance industry. His leadership also extended to his role as President and COO of Scottsdale Insurance Company, where he successfully grew the company's direct written premiums from $1.9 billion to $3.0 billion. He led several strategic growth initiatives, including product diversification, new business lines, and acquisitions such as Veterinary Pet Insurance Company. Additionally, he was instrumental in the creation of Freedom Specialty Insurance Company and Crestbrook Insurance Company.

Before his tenure at Scottsdale Insurance, Mike was the CFO of Nationwide P&C Insurance Companies, a role he held from 2000 to 2004, after serving as CFO for the Scottsdale Insurance Group of Companies from 1995.

Mike began his distinguished insurance career at Celina Group in 1977 before joining Nationwide in 1985. Throughout his career, he has built and maintained strong relationships with wholesale producers and reinsurance brokers nationwide, further solidifying his reputation as a visionary leader in the insurance sector.
